Belonging to and connecting with a business community, Having a representative to lobby governments in relation to issues relevant to the precinct and Connecting to other members were the most valued reasons to be part of Business South Bank according to the 2010 Members' Survey results. 

In relation to the issues in the precinct that affect most members - the results were consistent with last year's result, with little movement in the top 5 places. To view last year's survey, click here.

Points to note include:

  • For two years in a row members recognise that 'green space' is a critical reason that makes working in the precinct so attractive, and the importances of preserving this 'green space.'
  • The Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre extensions have ranked in the top 5 for the past four years.
  • The newly announced Queensland Rail enhancement program and public transport information both ranked 3rd, indicating the importance of public transport to BSB members.
  • With the final draft of the South Brisbane Riverside Plan likely to be adopted by Brisbane Council this year, this topic is unlikely to be included in further surveys.
