Blue Care is Queensland’s largest not-for-profit provider of aged care living, help at home, respite support and retirement living, providing services from Thursday Island down to Coolangatta and as far west as Mt Isa and Charleville.


First established in 1953, Blue Care’s services are available to people of all ages and care needs, whether they require a high level of care or just some short term support until they are back on their feet.   Blue Care makes the options clearer, the decisions easier and the outcomes better suited, so individuals and their families can live life their way.   

Blue Care has 48 residential care facilities in Queensland and in the 2016-17 financial year supported over 63,000 with care services across the State.

Blue care is a service of UnitingCare Queensland—the second largest employer in Queensland whose 17,400 employees and 9,200 volunteers care for and support people from all walks of life, including older people, people with disability, children, families and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
